Employee Spotlight: Larry Mitchell
Imperfect would be nothing without the wonderful people working hard to get fresh, delicious produce delivered to your door. We are proud of the hardworking, smart, and passionate people that we work alongside.
One of the ways we celebrate our amazing teammates is the Imperfect Spotlight: a company-wide program where Imperfect team members nominate their co-workers that go above and beyond their job duties and truly embody the values and spirit of Imperfect. Each quarter, we pick an employee to spotlight. The selection process is as nail-biting as "American Idol," just with more produce, less singing, and no Simon Cowell scowl. The final winner gets a cash prize and a paid day off at the end of the year for an off-site retreat with our leadership team and the other winners.
The past quarter, we had dozens of nominations of exceptional people. Choosing a winner is difficult with so many team members who represent all that Imperfect stands for: community, dedication, passion for the mission, and a generous, collaborative spirit.
With all the votes tallied, a winner was chosen: Larry Mitchell, a load-out associate in San Francisco who has been with the company for almost two years. Larry is an extremely kind-hearted soul that puts a smile on everyone’s face. He works incredibly hard and cares deeply about the mission of our company, so much so that he helped start our Free Farmers Market project. Larry is an inspiration to everyone he works with and we are so grateful to have him on our team. There were more than a few tears of joy when our CEO, Ben Simon, announced him as the winner and his supervisor read a speech worthy of a wedding toast to congratulate him.
We hope you'll join us in congratulating Larry. We can't wait to share our next employee of the quarter with you!
